Instructions

  2. In a large pot, combine the washed grapes with 4 cups of water and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  3. Once boiling, reduce heat and let simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the grapes are broken down.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a bowl, pressing down on solids to extract all liquid.
  5. Return the strained juice to the pot, stir in sugar and lemon juice, and heat until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool before transferring to bottles.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator before serving.
