  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  3. In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain fat and stir in marinara sauce; simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, and half of the mozzarella until smooth.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the spaghetti, half of the meat mixture, and half of the ricotta mixture. Repeat layers.
  6. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes until bubbly.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
