Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, deveined
  • 1 lb live clams
  • 1 lb firm white fish (like cod or halibut)
  • 2 cans (14 oz each) San Marzano tomatoes
  • 1 cup dry white wine (like Sauvignon Blanc)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups seafood broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in canned tomatoes (with juices) and white wine; simmer while scraping the pot's bottom.
  3. Pour in seafood broth and add crushed red pepper flakes. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to simmer.
  4. Gently add shrimp, clams, and fish to the pot. Cover and cook until shrimp are pink and clams open—about 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat; stir in chopped parsley and basil. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve hot with crusty bread for dipping into the rich broth.
