Cream cheese wontons are crispy, golden pockets filled with a rich, creamy blend of cream cheese and green onions.   • 1/4 cup green onions (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce until smooth.
  2. Place about 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten edges with water to seal.
  3. Fold wrappers into triangles or pockets, pressing out air.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat (350°F).
  5. Fry wontons in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Use a slotted spoon to transfer fried wontons to paper towels.
