  • 1 medium onion, finely grated
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp paprika (smoked preferred)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 4 pita breads (or wraps)
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, grated onion, minced garlic, oregano, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into a loaf on a lined baking sheet and chill for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) or prepare your grill for medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the meat for about 30 minutes until browned and reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  5. Allow the meat to rest for 10 minutes before slicing thinly.
