  2. In a large pot, combine grapes and water. Heat over medium until soft (about 10 minutes). Mash to release juices.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing gently to extract all juice.
  4. Return juice to pot, stir in sugar and pectin until dissolved. Bring to a rolling boil while stirring continuously.
  5. Boil for 5-10 minutes until thickened; it should coat the back of a spoon.
  6. Ladle hot jelly into sterilized jars, sealing immediately with lids. Cool completely at room temperature before refrigerating.
