  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 egg (for wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your dough by mixing flour and cold butter until crumbly; gradually add water to form a soft dough. Chill in the fridge.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions and garlic until soft. Add ground beef; cook until browned.
  3. Stir in curry powder, salt, pepper, and beef broth; simmer until thickened (about 10 minutes).
  4. Roll out chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick; cut into circles.
  5. Place a spoonful of the filling on each circle, fold over, and seal edges with a fork.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush patties with egg wash and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
