  • 1 lb fresh pork belly
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 cups steamed white rice
  • Korean side dishes (banchan) for serving

Instructions

  1. 1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, and black pepper until the sugar dissolves.
  2. 2. Marinate the Meat: Place beef brisket and pork belly in zip-top bags. Pour half the marinade into each bag, seal tightly, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. 3. Preheat Your Grill: Heat the grill to medium-high.
  4. 4. Grill the Meat: Remove meat from bags, discard excess marinade. Grill for about 3-4 minutes per side until charred yet juicy.
  5. 5. Add Toppings & Serve: Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and green onions before serving with rice and banchan.
