  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup chopped bell peppers
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté chopped onions until translucent, then add ground meat until browned. Toss in diced bell peppers.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; let simmer for five minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, mix cooked pasta with meat sauce and half of the mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. Transfer to a greased baking dish.
  6. Top with remaining cheese and bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
