  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (for brushing)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
  3. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in pumpkin puree until just combined; fold in pecans if using.
  4. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and pat it into a circle about one inch thick. Cut into wedges.
