  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup crushed tortilla chips
  • Optional: Sour cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in the taco seasoning with the beef, cooking for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. In a bowl, combine the cooked macaroni with the beef mixture, cheddar cheese, and milk until well mixed.
  6. Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with additional cheese and crushed tortilla chips.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving with optional sour cream.
