  • 2 (5 oz) cans of high-quality tuna in water, drained
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil water in a large pot and cook elbow macaroni until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, sauté diced onions over medium heat until translucent (about 5 minutes).
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine drained tuna, cooked macaroni, cream of mushroom soup, peas, sautéed onions, garlic powder, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix well.
  5. Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Top with remaining cheddar cheese and sprinkle breadcrumbs on top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and lightly browned.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.
