Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (5 oz) cans chunk light tuna in water, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine drained tuna, mayonnaise, chopped celery, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread. On the unbuttered side of two slices, generously spoon the tuna mixture and top with shredded cheddar.

  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwiches until golden brown and cheese melts—about 3-4 minutes per side.
