  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-seasoned)
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, parsley, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides for about 8-10 minutes.
  4. In another pot, sauté diced onions until translucent. Add crushed tomatoes along with oregano and basil; let simmer for about 15 minutes.
  5. Gently add browned meatballs into the sauce and cook together covered for an additional 20 minutes.
