  • 1 lb lean ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 medium sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Cheese Whiz or provolone cheese
  • 4 soft sandwich rolls or hoagie buns
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and drizzle with oil. Sauté onions and bell peppers until softened (about 5 minutes).
  2. Increase heat to medium-high, add ground beef, and cook until browned (7-10 minutes). Break up large chunks while stirring.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  4. Lower heat to medium-low and add cheese. Stir until melted and creamy (3-5 minutes).
  5. Spoon the mixture onto toasted buns and serve immediately.
