  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Prepare the Chicken: Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Place them in a slow cooker.
  2. 2. Add Aromatics: Top the chicken with chopped onion and minced garlic.
  3. 3. Moisten: Pour enough chicken broth into the slow cooker to cover half of the chicken.
  4. 4. Mix Sauce: In a bowl, combine barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, cumin, and smoked paprika. Pour over the chicken.
