  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining warm water and sugar in a bowl; sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and knead until smooth (about 8 minutes).
  3. Mix in melted butter and minced garlic until well-combined.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled.
  5. Punch down the dough, divide into golf ball-sized pieces, and shape into rolls.
  6. Arrange rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let rise again for about 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
