  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 68 tbsp ice-cold water
  • 1 cup ground beef or chicken
  • 1 cup diced potatoes
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • Salt, pepper, and paprika to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Gradually add ice-cold water until combined.
  3. Chill the dough wrapped in plastic for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Sauté onions until soft; add ground meat and potatoes. Season well as they cook together.
  5. Roll chilled dough into 6-inch circles on a floured surface.
  6. Place filling on one half of each circle, fold over, and seal edges tightly.
  7. Brush with egg wash and bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
